The Liar Vs. The Loudmouth

2016’s presidential election pits two pretty unpopular people against each other. Hillary Clinton, the first woman to ever receive a presidential nomination versus Donald Trump, the first non-politician outsider to be nominated by a major political party. One has spent her entire career in and around political circles, the other spent his career building his brand in real estate as well as reality TV. One is a seasoned public servant, the other is a seasoned businessman. One is a liar, the other is a loudmouth.

It’s no wonder polls show both Clinton and Trump’s unfavorability ratings in the tank. Americans are faced with presidential choices that would make many of them write in Mickey Mouse rather than vote for one of those two. But voting is an integral part of being an American. It is our right as a free democracy to choose who should lead our country. Not voting is basically throwing away your voice.

So you HAVE to choose, but how? Who can we trust to lead the United States? Well, if it’s a choice between a liar and a loudmouth, I’d rather go with the loudmouth. We already know that Hillary Clinton is a liar and a spinster, a seasoned politician. She could NEVER play poker, I tell you! How can we TRUST that she is going to keep us informed truthfully about matters of state? Her party also rigged the election to oust her opponent Bernie Sanders. Wow. That’s some craziness.

The loudmouth may be offensive, off-putting, and brash, but at least we can say, for now at least, he’s honest. Donald Trump is NOT a politician, and if there is anything we are learning this week, he certainly isn’t a spinster. Don’t push his buttons or he will lash out at you. Maybe foreign enemies will be too unsure of him to risk attacking us. Maybe that’s just what we need….an unpredictable outsider who loves his country so much that he’s given up his real estate empire to become a public servant.

I’m not sure what Clinton has given up to serve.

The liar or the loudmouth? The decision is yours. But choose wisely and vote. If you want to be lied to and feel satisfied that you are better off now than you were 4 years ago, vote for Clinton. If you are disgusted with the political elite and seriously want a potential change, then vote for Trump.

Join with Russia to Defeat Isis

The ancient proverb, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend,” is a proven strategical approach to defeat enemies of the state. But should the United States join forces with Russia to defeat ISIS, as suggested by presidential candidate Donald J. Trump?

Back in World War II, Hitler’s Nazi regime threatened the way of life of not just millions of Jews, but Christians, gays, lesbians and the disabled as well. Hitler’s superior race policy transcended borders as he slowly but surely invaded country after country to establish his grander race. U.S. relations with Russia during the last 1930’s and early 1940’s were strained by the Russian-Nazi alliance that led to the fall of Poland. But when Hitler invaded the Soviet Union in 1941, the common enemy was defined. Putting aside any differences felt by the United States toward Russia, President Franklin Roosevelt, together with Winston Churchill, join Russia and Joseph Stalin to put an end to the Hitler’s Nazi terror.

When we examine the threat of radical Islam, we are faced with similar circumstances, with a terror that does not care whether you are Jewish, Christian, gay, or lesbian, with a threat that is transcending borders. ISIS threatens the way of life of everyone and anyone that does not strictly adhere to their interpretation of the Koran. Even peaceful Muslims are a target. Having defined themselves, ISIS is now a common enemy of both the United States and Russia. No matter what our ways of life are, no matter what government or idealism either country believes in, ISIS is a threat to all of us.

So, why not? Why would it be so bad to defeat this common enemy by joining forces with Russia? It has worked in the past. Perhaps not knowing our fairly recent history in defeating Nazi Germany is allowing fear to cloud the judgement of opponents. History can teach us the right moves to make, but can also teach what to avoid. After the end of WWII, the Cold War commenced.  However, if the cards are played correctly, not only can an U.S.-Russian alliance rid our world of terror, but it may even improve our relationships. We can avoid another Cold War and improve our interactions with Russia, but it will take a leader with an understanding of the past, and a leader who is not afraid of reaching out to make our enemy our friend.

Hillary Kickoff Contradiction

Hillary’s kickoff campaign speech in Philadelphia 7/29/2016 was filled with confidence and well received by the Democratic attendees. Yet with all the coolness and self-assurance, some of Clinton’s statements are contradictory to her actions, the actions of her representative Democratic Party, and the founding fathers of our nation.

“I believe with all my heart that our founders came together to create one nation,” Hillary proudly pronounced. Yet missing from her rhetoric are the key words, “under God.” Our country was formed under the God given rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Over the last 5 decades, the freedoms offered by our own one nation have slowly and regularly removed God. The great melting pot of the United States welcomes all nationalities, genders, races, AND religions. Conveniently omitting the key words that inspired our founding fathers to create our one nation shows that Clinton’s faith is questionable.

Clinton’s claim that “George Washington, after he served, stepped down voluntarily,” is true. George Washington refused to serve a third term as our nation’s president. But wouldn’t it be prudent, then, that all representatives of our government, not just the President, should be limited to two terms? If Hillary believes in her heart of hearts the message sent by our very first President, why do we see, in both parties, this revolving door of the same people serving for either repetitive terms in office or moving from being a representative in one capacity into another? Her choice for vice-president, Tim Kaine, served on the City Council of Richmond, then as mayor of Richmond, then Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, then governor of Virginia. Seems to me Kaine has made a career out of public servitude and clearly missed the memo sent by George Washington.

Clinton continues in her remarks regarding her opponent Donald Trump, calling him out on his statement that some of America’s “problems can all be fixed but not by Hillary Clinton, only by me.” Clinton responds by stating, “I don’t know any founder no matter how strong they were how smart they were who believed that only they could solve our problems.” I’m puzzled as to why Clinton is responding this way. Perhaps someone in her campaign is reading the CNBC headline of the video clip which is titled “Trump: I’m the only one who can fix our problems.”

Trump: I’m the only one who can fix our problems

He never said that. It’s a deceitful falsehood meant to mislead Americans. Hillary says, “I’m not satisfied with the status quo. I’m not telling you everything is peachy keen. We’ve got to have more good jobs, we’ve got to raise wages, we’ve got to tackle inequality, we’ve got to make this economy work for everyone.” That’s quite a bit of work to do. For Hillary, if given the choice between Donald Trump or her, she’s apparently the only one who can fix it.

Woman’s Right to Vote

It has been almost 100 years since women were granted the right to vote and for the first time in history, we now have the first woman ever to run for president. The idea that a woman becoming president for the first time is surely an incentive for women across America to go to the polls and vote on gender simply because they wish to witness what started as a pioneering suffragette movement come to fruition. As a woman, I am deeply disturbed by this blindness. Of course I wish to see a woman as president, but it needs to be the right woman. Hillary Clinton is probably the worst representation of a woman and a lady. No self-respecting woman should vote for Clinton.

Any woman from New Jersey who caught her husband cheating and lying about it would never stay married to the guy. He’d be out the door faster than Obama leaving for a golf game. Bill Clinton lied to save his face and Hillary believed his load of crap. When she found out the truth, why did she stay with him? She showed weakness and vulnerability, and she showed that she wasn’t strong enough to make it on her own. I’m disgusted.

Real women are not compulsive liars, either. From Whitewater to the Clinton Foundation to Benghazi, Clinton is the worst deceiver of them all. That is not what women are about. And casting a vote for Hillary because she is a woman sends a message that being a liar is completely acceptable if you are a lady. I’m repulsed.

If you are considering voting by gender, I urge you to wait until we find a woman and a lady worthy of being our representative. Honesty, character and trustworthiness are what you should look for when choosing the first female president. And finally, don’t vote because it will be fashionable to have a woman as president, vote because it is your right as an American.

Because the future is in your hands if you cast a vote.
